Function Module for Reports

The extraction of SAP ABAP reports requires the installation of a custom function module in your SAP system.

Installation of Z_XTRACT_IS_REMOTE_REPORT

The SAP transport request for installing the function module is available for download in the Customer Portal. For information on how to use transport requests, see Knowledge Base: Import an SAP Transport Request.

Authority Objects for Z_XTRACT_IS_REMOTE_REPORT

Access to reports require explicit authorization. There are 2 ways to verify that an SAP user is allowed to read data from a report:

• Use authentication groups, see Authorizing Access to Reports via Authorization Groups.
• Use the custom authorization object Z_TS_PROG, see Create and Configure the Custom Authorization Object Z_TS_PROG.
