User Management

The Xtract Universal.iQ user management allows you to create custom users with credentials to restrict access to the web UI and to services.

For information on how to restrict access, see Access Control.

Create Users

To create a new user:

  1. Open the Users menu.
  2. Click [Add User]. The "User details" menu opens.
  3. Enter a unique name for the user.
  4. Enter a password for the user. The password must be at least 8 characters long.
  5. Re-enter the password to avoid spelling mistakes.
  6. Click [Save] to save the credentials.

The user is added to the list of users.

Delete Users

To delete an existing user:

  1. Open the Users menu.
  2. Click . A confirmation popup opens.
  3. Click [OK] to confirm the deletion of the user.

The user is removed from Xtract Universal.iQ.

Change Passwords

To change the password of a user:

  1. Open the Users menu.
  2. Click . The "User details" menu opens.
  3. Edit the password of the user. The password must be at least 8 characters long.
  4. Re-enter the new password to avoid spelling mistakes.
  5. Click [Save].

The new password is applied.

Note

It is not possible to change a username. Create a new user instead.
