Migration from Xtract Universal
The migration process for migrating extractions from Xtract Universal to Xtract Universal.iQ involves transferring configurations, connection settings, and extraction logic to the new platform. A conversion tool to support your migration is currently in development.

What is Missing in Xtract Universal.iQ?
- Windows Active Directory is currently not supported.
- The commandline tool xu.exe is not available anymore. Alternative automation options:
- Build-in scheduler (runs extractions/services in regular intervals).
- Call via webservices / web API (same as in Xtract Universal).
- Service integration with 3rd-party automation platforms (runs extractions/services and processes data in a single application).
- Missing destinations and extraction types will be added in the upcoming months.
What is New in Xtract Universal.iQ?
- New destinations:
- Apache Iceberg write data to your Amazon S3 storage using the Iceberg open-table format (OTF).
- New extraction / service types:
- CDSFlow extracts delta data from CDS Views - no SAP customization required.
- Transaction executes and automates SAP transaction workflows
- The Xtract Universal.iQ MCP Server integrates your SAP data with AI platforms and LLMs.

- Open a ticket in our Support Portal.
- Provide as much information as possible for the Theobald Software support team to understand and analyze the issue.
- If there is an error message, copy and paste the error message into the ticket.
The Theobald Software Support team will contact you within 24 hours.
Disclaimer
SAP versions that are no longer supported by the manufacturer are excluded from the Theobald Software support. Issues specific to custom BAPIs (Z function modules) or custom reports (Z reports) are also excluded from the scope of support.
