Function Module / BAPI Settings

This page contains an overview and description of all available Function Module / BAPI settings.

Open the Function Module / BAPI Settings

To open the service settings of an existing Function Module / BAPI service:

  1. Open the Services menu
  2. Select a service of type Function Module / BAPI.
  3. Click [ Edit].

Function Module

The Function Module tab contains settings related to the source Function Module in SAP.

Function Module / BAPI

The Function Module / BAPI section displays the name and description of the selected Function Module / BAPI.

Select

Add a new Function Module / BAPI to the Function Module / BAPI service.

Advanced Settings

Commits Transaction

If this option is active, the function module "BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT" is called after processing the selected Function Module / BAPI. Some SAP Function Modules require this commit function to successfully update data in the database, e.g., BAPI_PO_CREATE.

Refresh Metadata

Reload the metadata of the selected Function Module / BAPI. This is necessary after the function module was edited in SAP.

Function Module Interface Parameters

The Function Module Interface Parameters section displays all parameters of the selected Function Module / BAPI. There are four parameter types:

Service Settings

The Service Settings tab contains settings specific to the service type. Function Module / BAPI does not have specific settings.

Destination Settings

The Destination Settings tab contains settings specific to the destination assigned to the service.

The destination settings define how and where a service saves its output data. The settings vary depending on the destination.
